All proceeds from this event will support the following four charities dedicated to enhancing the lives of youth in inner city Dallas.

I AM A GOLFER FOUNDATION

The I AM a Golfer Foundation (IAMGF) was established as a 501(c)3 in 2018 with the mission to be a catalyst for community renewal and transformation in South Dallas through the Programming, Preservation, and Promotion of the historic Cedar Crest Golf Course. IAMGF’s belief is that the promotion of the sport and activity to diverse and historically underserved communities will have an impact beyond the course and into the daily lives of those reached by its initiatives.

BEHIND EVERY DOOR

Behind Every Door runs community centers and opens doors for kids and adults to discover their gifts and purpose, to nurture those and then to overcome the barriers to walking in the fullness of who God made them to be. BED partners with the community to create and run intentional programming from their centers. They work with all ages, from bingo events for seniors to sports programs and leagues to out-of-school programs for school-age children. Their biggest focus is on children and youth with programming taking place on weekdays after school.

MERCY STREET

Mercy Street exists to cultivate mutually transforming relationships with inner-city youth through Christian mentorship. With Mercy Street Sports, each player is taught the fundamentals of a sport and the fundamentals of faith. Mercy Street Mentoring cultivates mutually transforming relationships by pairing children in West Dallas and South Dallas with a caring Christian adult and providing a way for the local church to fulfill the Great Commission. Mercy Street Leadership equips emerging leaders while they are in high school for success after graduation with various initiatives.

MOMENTOUS INSTITUTE

Momentous Institute, founded by Salesmanship Club of Dallas in 1920, exists to strengthen the mental health of children, families, and communities through innovative mental health services, education, and professional training. Evidence-based insights allow their work to be embraced and implemented well beyond those they work with directly, helping to cultivate a world of emotionally thriving people reaching their full potential.
